Regardless of innovation and technology, modernization is transitory. Nature is effortlessly keeping pace and adapting, conforming and thriving in extreme and inhospitable conditions. The East Side of Providence Rhode Island is a relatively affluent and modern section of Greater Providence. in spite of modern day innovation the hydrant rusts. Brick and concrete split and weather. Constant up keep is needed to maintain civilization. The pyramids of Egypt, Roman architecture etc…and even current society will yield to natures trees and weeds as noted in the cracks in the sidewalk and background.
The essence of city life! and perpetual need for repair.
