Today the church celebrates the feast of Saint Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene was present at the foot of the cross when Jesus was crucified.  Mary is a powerful intercessor and great example because of her virtue and loyalty to Christ. She is the patron of women, hairdressers, the contemplative life and repentant sinners.
